Trinity College |
The second college in Connecticut, this institution was founded in 1823 as Washington College. It was renamed Trinity College in 1845. This is an independent, nonsectarian liberal arts college emphasizing interdisciplinary study and interaction with Hartford. The College is consistently ranked among the nations best colleges. The student-to-teacher ratio is 9 to 1 for a student body of over 1,900.
The 100-acre campus is in an urban setting southwest of downtown Hartford. Active fraternities, sororities and over 112 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours are available through the admissions department.
