Woodrow Wilson Senior High School is one of 15 public high schools in the District of Columbia. It opened its doors to students in the Tenleytown neighborhood in 1935. Wilson serves students from grades 9 through 12 and focuses on a college preparatory curriculum. The school is named for President Woodrow Wilson, the twenty-eighth president of the United States, who served from 1913-1921 and led the United States through the First World War. Their mission is to ensure that all students receive opportunities to achieve academic success and excellence within an environment that promotes mutual respect, personal development and understanding of individual responsibilities to the community.
