Located on the lower level of the Department of Commerce building on 14th Street, this is the oldest public aquarium in the United States. It displays more than 1,200 fish and other creatures representing 250 species of freshwater and saltwater life. The aquarium also has a touch tank with horseshoe crabs and sea urchins, and presents a continuous videotape about aquatic life.
