The Design Museum has become one of Londons most inspiring visitor attractions; highly acclaimed exhibitions capture the excitement of design evolution, ingenuity and inspiration through the 20th and 21st centuries. Originally a riverside warehouse, the Design Museum building has been converted by Conran Roche in the modernist style, and features outstanding riverside views. The Collection Gallery offers themed displays which show changes in use and meaning, form, and technology. Some objects date from the beginning of mass production; many are still in everyday use. Temporary Gallery features changing exhibits. Gift shop and restaurant on site. Open all year. Tel: +44 (0)20 7403 6933, Fax: +44 (0)20 7378 6540
