Exeter

Exeter is the largest city in Southwestern England with a population of over 100,000. Destroyed during WWII, Exeter has rebuilt itself into a university town with a thriving nightlife. Exeter is home to one of the most attractive cathedrals in England with two Norman towers dating back to the 11th century. A nearby attraction is Dartmoor National Park. Exeter is located in Devon, 3 hours by train from London, 90 minutes from Bristol and two hours from Salisbury. The city is situated along the River Exe and the Quayside area is an attractive area to visit.
