Everglades City Observation Tower

Offers a panoramic view overlooking the mangroves and water of the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands. The wooden tower is 80 feet high and rises 100 steps.

Look down into the Everglades jungle and consider how researchers and fugitives tried to cross the mangroves, and why it is practically impossible even without meeting dangerous animals. Glades Haven built a wooden boardwalk leading through a small portion of mangrove swamp to a waterway where marine birds can be seen; enjoy and familiarize yourself with the way mangroves grow at the highest vantage point in the area.

Located southeast of Naples and west of Miami on Highway 29 at the Oyster House Restaurant.
