Founded in 1926, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a private institution offering undergraduate programs in aviation, engineering, and business. Its main campus is in Florida. Another was established in Prescott AZ in 1978.
The students are primarily male and two thirds of them come from outside Florida. The university does not formally participate in interscholastic sports, but there are athletic facilities for students. Popular majors include aeronautical science and aeronautical engineering.
