This publicly funded institution, founded in 1961, is part of the state university system of Florida. The vast majority of undergraduates, who number around 8000, come from Florida. Very few belong to fraternities or sororities. The campus is in a suburban area on 860 acres. Popular majors include business management, education, and social science.
