Marking its 30th year in 2001, the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution is one of the world's leading non-profit oceanographic research organizations, with divisions in Marine Science, Marine Mammal Research & Conservation, Aquaculture, Biomedical Marine Research and more. The Marine Operations Division maintains Harbor Branch's fleet of Research Vessels and Research Submersibles, as well as the PANTHER Rescue ROV. Public programs include daily Campus and Wildlife tours, and a Lagoon Wildlife Boat Tour into the most diverse estuary in the United States,- the Indian River Lagoon. Facilities on the 600-acre campus include a library, museum, aquaculture pavilion, visitor center, and the J. Seward Johnson Marine Education and Conference Center.
