Clairiere et Wagon de l'Armistice

Located in the middle of a 100-meter circular clearing in the Compiegne forest, the spot where the armistice of WWI was signed, this museum contains a replica of the train car where the signing took place; ironically, this location was later chosen by Hitler as the site for the signing of the French surrender on June 22, 1940.
