Ecomusee du Pays de Rennes Rennes Museum of Rural Life

Situated to the south of Rennes at La Bintinais farm, which has been beautifully restored, the Museum of Rural Life includes a permanent exhibition that traces the history of farming in the Rennes area. Old and rare breeds of Breton animals and plants are kept on the farm and displays of traditional crafts and farming techniques are featured, including costumes, tools and agricultural implements. Festivals and demonstrations are held all year round, including an apple festival, honey collecting, a cart horse harnessing competition, and sheep-shearing.
