The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is located in Athens. The 313 acre garden features a permanent collection of tropical species representing beneficial plants of the tropics—plants from which beverages, foods, spices, medicines, fibers, building materials and industrial products are derived. The plants and nature through collections and displays, horticultural gardens, educational programs, and research is better known as a "living laboratory."
