Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation |
Beginning in 1907, this plantation grew to 7,300 acres of land for rice cultivation. Until the Civil War, however, plantation owner James M. Troup had 357 slaves who worked the farm site. Today the 1850s plantation features antique furnishings and visitors can take a guided tour to experience what life was like on the coast in ante-bellum Georgia.
