Museum of Coastal History

Located on 12th Street, this museum is housed in a restored 1872 lighthouse keeper's house. Changing exhibits depict local history. The adjacent lighthouse offers a fine view of the island. Earlier structures on the site have included two forts as well as a lighthouse built in 1810 and destroyed in the Civil War.
