Founded in 1933 as part of the University System of Georgia, this is a public institution offering degree programs in liberal arts, business, and teacher preparation. There are 3 undergraduate and 1 graduate school. The 394 acre campus is in a suburban area 50 miles southwest of Atlanta. Including residence halls, there are 65 buildings. Fraternities and sororities and over 100 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus can be arranged through the admissions office.
