Sweetwater Creek is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from bustling downtown
Atlanta. The park features a variety of natural and cultural resources, including the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a Civil War era textile mill. Nine miles of trails, shaded streams and the George Sparks Reservoir make this park a popular outing destination. Picnic shelters, playgrounds and fishing docks are available.
