Located on a hillside estate above
Honolulu. The museum has over three and a half acres of trees such as kukui, mango, monkeypod, banyan and breadfruit.
Tours last 45 minutes and are led by museum volunteers Wednesday and Saturday at 11:30am. The estate was built in 1925 for Mrs Charles Montague Cooke. Inside galleries feature paintings, sculpture and other contemporary international artwork.
A newer building contains David Hockney's environmental installation for Ravel's 1925 opera "L'Enfant et les Sortileges". It is located at the intersection of Mott-Smith Dr and Makiki Heights Dr.
