Hosmer Grove

This grove of trees, just .25 mile from the Haleakala National Park entrance, is the site of an experiment in 1910 to plant temperate zone trees in the subtropical park. There is a half mile long interpretive nature trail leading from the grove.

The differences between rare native plants and introduced species is depicted on the trail.
