Kailua is located in
Honolulu County on the eastern shore of
Oahu Island, between
Kaneohe and
Waimanalo along Highway 61 near
Kailua Bay,
Lanikai, Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base, and Kaphoho Point.
In Kailua Bay you can snorkel, scuba dive, jet ski, kayak, sail and windsurf. The town offers lots of activities for families, such as movie theaters, bowling, restaurants and boutiques. Non-beach activities include tennis, golf, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
