Makaha is located in
Honolulu County on the western coast of
Oahu Island, between Makua and
Waianae along Highway 93 near Lahilahi Point, the Makua Keaau Forest Reserve, and the
Waianae Range.
Around the Makaha area you can snorkel, surf, go deep-sea fishing, golf, watch dolphins & turtles in the sea, and in season, whales. Makaha Beach Park is famous for the international surfing contest held there each year.
Makaha is part of the Honolulu, Hawaii metro area.
