St Andrew's Cathedral

Built in the French Gothic style and was shipped in pieces from England where it was fabricated. The western facade is a window of hand-blown stained glass that reaches from the floor to the eaves.

King Kamehameha IV was attracted to the Church of England and decided to build his own cathedral. He died on St Andrews Day in 1863 and the cornerstone was finally laid in 1867 by King Kamehameha V.

Organ concerts are performed Friday at noon. Guided tours are available Sunday after services. It is open weekdays 8am to noon and 1 to 4pm. No admission.
