Founded in 1858, this university is the birthplace of the electronic digital computer. Points of interest include a 100-foot campanile housing the 50-bell Stanton Memorial Carillion; Iowa state center, which is host to conferences as well as theater, music, and athletic advents; and Reiman Gardens.
