American Falls

This waterfall is on the Snake River, southwest of Pocatello. The town of American Falls is named after it. The first permanent settlement was located on the West bank of the Snake River, on the opposite side of the river from the present location and this settlement, in 1880, consisted of just a few houses or cabins. At the present time it is probably 2100.
