Oregon Trail, is the center of irrigation projects that enable the cultivation of thousands of acres of farmland. In early June, nearby
Massacre Rocks State Park celebrates Massacre Rocks Rendezvous.
The American Falls Reservoir, the largest on the Snake River, provides boating, sailing, water skiing and rainbow trout fishing. Free tours of the dam are offered.
On US 30 southwest of Pocatello, American Falls is county seat of Power County.
