In
Kootenai County at the end of Hwy 54, Bayview lies at the southern end of
Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho's largest and deepest lake. Bayview is a resort community with marinas, cabins, motels, restaurants, and service businesses which cater to vacationers. Several public launching ramps allow access to the lake. Fishing, sailing, boating, and sightseeing are just some of the activities enjoyed by visitors to Bayview as well as
Farragut State Park.
Bayview is 30 miles north of Coeur d'Alene and 30 miles south of Sandpoint, on Hwy 54, 8 miles east of the junction with US 95 at Athol.
