The main lodge at the Blue Heron, designed by the owners, has 5100 square feet of living space. The building was designed so that it could also be a private home. It contains six bedrooms, each with a private bath. Some bedrooms include fireplaces, jetted tubs, and private balconies and all have large closets. The loft has a sitting area, game table and games, and a library with books on the area and fiction that can be borrowed. The lower floor has a poolroom and a small fitness center. The commercial kitchen enables the innkeepers to cater special events such as intimate weddings and small meetings.
