Council Idaho

Named for the many councils which were held here, Council is situated in the Council Valley of the Weiser Valley in the central part of Adams County, of which it is the county seat. Council is located in a broad valley at an elevation of 3000 feet, surrounded by timbered mountains. In summer, hiking trails are plentiful. In winter the area offers outstanding snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.

It lies on US 95 south of McCall.
