Dworshak Dam Visitor Center is 2 miles east of Ahsahka on SR 7, following signs, on the North Fork of the
Clearwater River. The visitor center overlooks the 717-foot dam, one of the highest straight-axis concrete gravity dams in the world. Behind the dam,
Dworshak Reservoir extends 54 miles into the wild, rugged timberland. Guided tours of the dam are available. Movies and slide presentations are shown on request. Visitor center open April 1- October 31, 7 days a week: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm ; November 1- March 3 1, Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 4:30 pm.
