This hatchery is the largest steelhead trout and spring chinook salmon producer in the world. Constructed by the Army Corp of Engineers and it is operated by the US Department of the Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service construction was completed in 1969.
A self-guided tour includes informational signs and brochures, and is well worth the visit to discover the life cycle of these magnificent sea-going fish.

Adult fish can be viewed December - April and July - September.
