There are actually three Payette Lakes. The biggest one, usually just called Payette Lake, is actually Lower Payette Lake.
McCall is where the lake's outflow becomes the North Fork Payette River. Upper Payette Lake is a small lake 19 miles north of McCall and drains into Lower Payette Lake. Little Payette Lake is east of McCall.
