Picabo is located in
Blaine County on US 20 about 32 miles south of
Sun Valley.
Named after the town is Picabo Street, 2-time Olympic medalist, gold (Super G in 1998) and silver (downhill in 1994); her 1995 World Cup downhill series title first-ever by U.S. woman; she repeated the feat in 1996.
The area is supported by skiing and tourism.
