Madison, serving an area of 24,000 residents, has a collection of 54,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 4,000 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 880 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of 7 employees, including one fully accredited librarian, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $44,000. Patrons make 88,000 visits annually, and check out materials 180,000 times. Forty-six percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

The fair has all the traditional elements of an agricultural fair, including exhibits and 4-H competition.

Portneuf Greenway Foundation RiverFest Pocatello ID August17-September17 This is a one day festival which features local and regional bands. This year's headliner band is The Clumsy Lovers. We also have craft booths, commercial booths and lots of great food. There will be a horseshoe tournament as well as our famous raffle. In previous years we have given away camp trailers, boats and cars.
