Comments: Wow! We just returned from a 2-day trip on the Salmon River out of Riggins with Epleys. The trip exceeded our wildest expectations! Being absolute novices, 2 teens and two senior aunties must have been a challenge for our guide, who provided constant coaching, instruction and fun for all. Great people skills. Meals and equipment were amazing, as we were invited to participate or relax and enjoy the pampering. Steak dinner on the riverbank. Our capable guide skillfully maneuvered the rapids, with options for "how much splash" we wanted, and frequent invitations to swim in safe stretches. The Salmon has beautiful white sandy beaches, no mosquitoes, and FAR surpassed our opinion of the Snake River/Hells Canyon via jetboat the next day.
