Barker-Ewing River Trips is offering a unique salmon and steelhead seminar trip on the Main
Salmon River in mid-August of this year. Participants will learn about the many factors leading to the near-disappearance in Idaho of chinook salmon and the decline of steelhead (ocean-going rainbow trout) as part of the seven-day trip. A fish biologist with 26 years experience will accompany the trip and educate guests about habitat requirements for salmon and steelhead.
Guests conduct fish counts in side streams by pulling on snorkel gear and peering into the underwater world. Snorkel equipment is provided.
