Soda Springs Idaho

The Oregon Trail runs through Soda Springs. Sheep Rock (now Soda Point) on the south side of US 30 was a noted landmark on the trail. At Soda Point some emigrants left the main trail and went west to California on the Hudspeth Cutoff. It is the hub of the Bear Lake Caribou Scenic Byway and the Pioneer Historical Byway in southeast Idaho.

In Caribou County, Soda Springs boasts the largest man-made geyser in the world and was featured in "Ripley's Believe It or Not." The geyser, in the downtown, goes off every hour on the hour.

There is also a Soda Springs, California.
