Wallace Idaho

Wallace is one of only a few places where the entire town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has one of the best collections of turn-of-the-century architecture in the Pacific Northwest.

For most of its 100-plus year history, Wallace has been recognized as the silver-producing capital of the world.

On I-90 next to Osburn, it is the county seat of Shoshone County.

Comments: Our family drove to the place not long ago. Keep an eye on changes in the weather in the afternoon. The cost of housing sure have jumped since our previous trip. This place seems to have ALOT of civic-minded folks pumping gas. Downtown traffic seems hectic. To have a well spent afternoon, make a point of visiting Northern Pacific Depot Railroad Museum. It's worth the admission!
