Yankee Fork Gold Dredge & Custer Museum

At Sunbeam, Highway 75/26 meets Yankee Fork Road. By traveling north on this road, visitors are brought to two interesting sites. Yankee Fork Gold Dredge is 8 miles from Sunbeam. The dredge is open from 10:00 to 5:00 from Memorial day to Labor day. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under.The Custer Museum is two miles further. Located in Custer's old schoolhouse, it contains collections from the early days of mining. The museum is open from 9:00 to 6:00 daily from mid-June to mid-September. Admission is free.
