Astoria is located in west central Illinois in
Fulton County about 20 miles southeast of
Macomb between
Havana and
Rushville along U.S. Highway 24 near Jack Lake and the
Illinois River.
For outdoor enthusiasts Anderson Lake State Park is within a few minutes drive to the east. In addition, the "Scenic Drive" in mid-October through parts of the 130 mile route in the Spoon River Valley is a "must do".
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,170, a decrease of 35 since 1990.
