Aurora University is an intimate 3,000-student, four-year institution of higher learning located on 27 acres in northeastern Illinois in
Kane County. In addition, a branch campus is located in
Williams Bay just across the Wisconsin state line near
Geneva Lake.
The University, which was founded in 1893, offers 40 undergraduate degrees along with six Master's and two Doctoral degrees. They are organized under four colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences; George Williams College (including the School of Nursing, School of Social Work and School of Professional Studies); the College of Business and the College of Education.
Undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Social Work; Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies.
Notable: Col. Harlan Sanders (of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame) donated an entire set of carillon bells to the University that are still played from Eckhart Hall.
