Cahokia is located in southwestern Illinois in
St. Clair County just southeast of
St Louis along U.S. Highway 50 on the banks of the
Mississippi River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 16,149, a decrease of 1,401 since 1990.
For golfers, the town offers the Prairies Golf Course on Tricentennial.
