Carterville

Carterville is located in southern Illinois in Williamson County west of Interstate 57 and north of Highway 13 abutting the Shawnee National Forest and Crab Orchard Lake & NWR. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,947, an increase of 331 since 1990.

C-ville is the home of John A. Logan College, a community college benefiting those wanting a continuing educational experience.
