Cherry Valley is located in the Northern Tier of Illinois in southeastern Winnebago County southeast of Rockford on the banks of the Kishwaukee River near the Boone County line.This golf-conscious area has been named by Golf Digest as its #1 medium-sized golf town in the country. Cherry Valley is home to one of these scenic courses--Elliot Golf Course. Fair-goers will want to take in the Cherry Valley Festival Days held annually in late August. The 3-day affair features concerts, a carnival and workshops by various entities such as Home Depot.
