Flora is located in south central Illinois in
Clay County 35 miles northeast of
Mt. Vernon, 30 miles south of
Effingham and 6 miles south of
Louisville, the county seat. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 4,833, a decrease of 260 since 1990.
