Gem City College

Gem City College is a profit making institution, located in Quincy, Adams County, IL, and has an enrollment of about 90.

Gem City specializes in the field of Horology--the fine art of watchmaking, clock repair, engraving and jewelry design and repair. They are a nationally recognized institution offering an Associate Degree in Technology.

In addition, the College has Schools of Business and of Cosmetology.

One unique offering is the cloth-bound volumn "Ornamental Designs and Illustrations" by J. M. Bergling and published by the Gem City College Press. It contains studies in the human figure, plant, and animal life; Architectural and Gun engraving studies; Initials, Medallions, Scrolls; Patriotic and period designs, Fraternity and society emblems; State seals; Oriental novelty designs.
