Waubonsee Community College is located in
Sugar Grove, IL, and has an enrollment of about 10,000. There are 122 programs leading to associates degrees.
They were established in 1966 and serve most of Kane County and portions of Kendall County, DeKalb County, La Salle County and Will County.
Using fiber optics, Waubensee is now networked with Elgin Community College, Judson College, Kishwaukee College, McHenry County College, Aurora University and Columbia College thereby broadening the educational opportunities for all students.
The College's namesake is the Potawatomi Indian chief who lived in the Fox River Valley during the 1800s.
Athletic scholarships are given in basketball, baseball, track/cross country and other sports.
