Called a "perched" lake because it is formed by man-made levees that rise above the surrounding land, LaSalle Lake is located in north central Illinois in southeastern La Salle County about 15 miles southeast of Ottawa and eight miles south-southeast of Marseilles. High winds require that safety precautions must be followed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
