Marseilles is located in north central Illinois in
La Salle County about 20 miles east of
La Salle along U.S. Highway 6 just north of the
Illinois River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 4,991, an increase of 180 since 1990.
Illini State Park,LaSalle Lake SFWA and Marseilles SFWA provide the area's residents and visitors loads of good fishing and hunting as well as hiking and camping. In addition, golfers can challenge the Prairie Lakes Resort course.
