Palmyra is located in southwestern Illinois in northwestern
Macoupin County about 60 miles north-northeast of
St Louis and 15 miles north-northwest of
Carlinville, the county seat. Area recreation includes
Terry Park Golf Course for those wanting to shoot a quick round. In addition, the town is about 5 miles west of Otter Lake and activities surrounding that venue.
