Pyramid State Park

Dense forests have reclaimed the southwestern Illinois hills of Pyramid State Park, which were once strip-mined. More than 2,000 acres offer an excellent hunting experience. Five miles south of Pinckneyville in Perry County on Highway 127, Pyramid State Park hosts various stands of cottonwood, box elder, sycamore, white oak, and hickory.
