Angel Mounds State Historic Park |
Located on Pollack Avenue, this 103 acre park is an archaeological site that was once the location of the prehistoric Moundbuilders' village. These Indians, part of the ancient Mississippian culture, occupied the land along the banks of the Ohio River A.D. 1100-1450. A reconstructed community includes family dwellings and ceremonial structures. An interpretive center shows a video and a nature preserve offers bird walks and trails. Picnic areas are available.
